  • Job Summary

    The Senior Biomedical Technician supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality by enhancing patient safety through the inspection, repair, preventive maintenance and calibration of medical devices and equipment included in the YRMC clinical equipment management program. Facilitates the development and effectiveness of medical device integration with the Electronic Medical Record system through the application of IT networking expertise.

    Job Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School graduate or GED
    • A.M.I. Certification OR A.A.S. Degree in Electronics, Biomedical or Software Engineering Technology OR two years of experience in the troubleshooting, maintenance and/or repair of medical devices/equipment. May consider an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
    • Ability to interpret schematics, specification drawings, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
    • Knowledge of pertinent technical practices and troubleshooting strategies for medical equipment
    • Proficiency in the use of test instruments and tools
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment
    • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Biomedical device integration and networking
