Job Summary

The PFS Team Lead supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality. Functions as a leader to ensure smooth, effective and efficient daily operations and communication in assigned area of responsibility. Provides exceptional customer service; coordinates, plans and schedules training and ensures assigned staff members complete training modules in a timely manner. Escalates all issues involving non-compliance to supervisor and/or manager. Responsibilities may vary based upon department assignment (Patient Financial Services, Patient Scheduling or Patient Access).

Job Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of education and /or experience in a leadership role, with emphasis on human relationships preferred
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred  

Required Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or GED
  • Minimum three years of experience in business processes e.g. Physician Office, Patient Financial Services, Patient Accounting, Patient Scheduling or Admitting with broad healthcare knowledge in all aspects of each task
  • Experience with training and development activities
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Business Office and Admitting Department terminology
  • State of AZ Notary Public obtained within 60 days of hire for Patient Access Leads
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
  • Proficiency with computers in a Microsoft Windows environment
