Job Summary

The Security Officer supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality assuring a safe and secure environment for patient, visitors and staff and protecting hospital assets.

Job Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous healthcare security experience strongly preferred

Required Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or GED
  • Security, military or public safety experience required
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Possess and maintain a valid AZ driver's license
  • Must successfully complete self-defense tactics and TASER training within 90-day probationary period; must prepare for, take and pass the IAHSS exam within 18 months of hire date
  • Must be current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Provider certified
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people, including patients, families, physicians and hospital staff providing excellent customer service
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows
